Product Range

To keep hair healthy, we need to maintain the balance of protein, moisture and trace elements (see the Retail Area for further details). Healthy hair is far easier to colour than damaged hair and so any treatment which you do on your clients, should always start with an analysis of the hair or wet stretch test.

Wet Stretch Test

Take about 10 hairs, wet them and hold out. Gently pull, making sure the pressure is even. For further information, please refer to the Hair Analysis Step-by-Step section.

• Hair in good condition: Will stretch about 30% of its natural length and return, showing no signs of damage.
• Hair low in protein: Will stretch more then 30%, but will not return to normal. The hair is weak.
• Hair low in both protein and moisture: Will stretch and break. The hair is very weak.
• Hair low in moisture: Will stretch very little or not at all. The hair is hard.

All these problems can be eliminated by using the correct products from the Organic Care Systems range.

Status Quo Range (Shampoo and Conditioner)

This range is designed for normal, healthy hair.

Aqua Boost Range (Shampoo, Conditioner and Treatment)

This range is designed for hard hair. It works by softening the hair's inner protein, allowing it to have the natural stretch we need. This in turn will release the cuticle, allowing it to open more easily. It is ideal for hair that is low in moisture. Aqua Boost Treatment will release very hard hair and can be used before colouring or perming. It is very beneficial to use it before colouring grey hair, as it allows the cuticle to open more quickly, ensuring better penetration of the colour pigments.

Power Build Range (Shampoo, Conditioner, Treatment and Revamp Treatment)

This range is designed to reconstruct hair by adding proteins and moisturisers to the inner structure of the hair. It is ideal for hair that is low in protein or protein and moisture. Power Build Treatment is a combination of protein and moisture used as an emergency treatment. Two treatments done in one day will stop hair breaking and it is a very good treatment to maintain hair in good condition. Revamp Treatment is a little power house. Two treatments can make hair 40% stronger.

Soothe Plus (Shampoo, Conditioner and Treatment)

The Soothe Plus range of shampoo, treatment and conditioner is formulated with the latest botanical and certified organic ingredients and represents the ultimate in natural hair care technology. The unique formulations of the three products reduce irritation and inflammation of the scalp and skin. The three products are designed to work in conjunction with each other and are therefore supplied in a set for your clients' use at home. This will provide the most effective care for the hair and scalp. Backwash sizes are also available for salon use.

The airless pump used for the 150ml shampoo and conditioner allows the product to be easily dispensed from the bottle. There is also the added benefit that, since air is kept out of the dispensing system, this can help to prevent any potential contamination, which is a real positive for a product such as Soothe Plus, which is designed for sensitive scalps.

By treating your clients' hair with the correct products before you colour, you will have a better surface on which to work. Think about painting a wall; a wall full of cracks will be harder to paint and achieve a good finish, but if the cracks have been filled in and treated beforehand, the result will be far superior.

The Shampoos

All shampoos in the Organic Care Systems range should be applied twice and the second lather should be left on the hair for between 2-3 minutes.

The Conditioners

All of the Organic Care Systems conditioners have a pH of 3, which will give them the ability to close the cuticle down. The conditioners should be left on the hair for 5 minutes.

The Treatments

All of the treatments in the Organic Care Systems range should be left on the hair for 15 minutes. Revamp Treatment is very powerful and should not be used on the hair more than 10 times per month.
