Foiling Step-by-Step


1. Consultation with client about colour and style.	2. Wet stretch test to analyse hair (see Wet Stretch Test Step-by-Step).	3. Use correct Organic Care Systems shampoo and treatment for the client at the backwash.

4. Mix colour accurately.	5. Section the hair and apply colour to the sections to be foiled. With blonde highlights, we advise not to use Naturlite on its own. Use Naturlite with a Hi-Lift colour.	6. Apply all-over colour between the foils.

7. Cover hair with plastic cap and put client under moderate heat for 10 minutes. Then allow hair to develop for a further 25 minutes without heat.	8. Remove the all-over colour first and rinse thoroughly. Then remove the foils and rinse until the water runs clear. This is especially important when using both Intensifi ers or Extra Brights and blonde highlights.	9. Shampoo and condition the hair with the correct Organic Care Systems products for the client. The conditioner should be left on for 5 minutes before rinsing.
	11. Happy client with healthy, natural looking hair.
10. Apply styling products and style hair.
