More PCR bottles leaving HQ!
Organic Colour Systems continue to focus on sustainability by introducing more 100% PCR bottles.
Despite these challenging times, we have continued to meet our environmental goals. Last year we announced that we were the first professional hair company in the world to produce colour bottles made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR). This means that every bit of our new bottles has been used for something else before, helping reduce plastic rubbish polluting our planet.
Since then, we are thrilled to announce that we have now switched 22 of our retail bottles to 100% PCR plastic as well.
*Some non PCR bottles may still be in circulation
This means that 63.7% of plastic in weight leaving HQ has been from post-consumer recycled (PCR) Plastic; putting us on track to achieve our goal of 65% for 2020.
OCS founder and Managing Director, Raoul Perfitt said: “The OCS philosophy has always been, ‘the planet beats pretty every time’. Minimising packaging and using recycled and recyclable materials, these are things we’ve been passionate about from the start and an important factor we keep in mind when we design and chose packaging.”
