The Inspiration.
With Alchemy, Nichola strived to blend together her love of Art with hair! Fusing her different strengths to push the boundaries on creating wearable art.
Alchemy portrays Diversity throughout Nichola’s colour work and placement, she’s pushed the boundaries with how colour is used (mixing direct pigments with a styling spray to create spray paint) by spraying it in, to accentuate different textures in the hair, as well as crocheting hair through a milliners cap, to create a “rug” type texture to then spray painting it with hair colour.
